Japanese Mafia Clan - Yakuza Games Series

Yakuza 4Yakuza video games series for Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 consoles was inspired by the Japanese Yakuza criminal organization, a mobster who has strong links with the cult of the Bushido samurai.
Like many other stories of states, the Japanese History was a very restless one, with many wars and disasters occurring over time. During this time, Japan was controlled by various mafia groups who fought each other for supremacy and in order to seize as much land and wealth as possible. During that period the martial arts appeared and the Samurai emerged and developed a new social class.
The Samurai were direct vassals to the Shogun and served him in military actions. They were experts in fight, with or without weapons, they had special armor and two legendary swords. Very often, in case of defeat, the bravest Samurai asked the other warriors to kill themselves in group, providing an example for future generations. Until late fifteenth century, the Samurai culture developed in the "Bushido Code", influenced by Confucian teachings and Zen culture.
This code of samurai emphasized self-sacrifice, purity, loyalty, modesty, honour and affection. These values promoted by the Bushido code were adopted later, by the Yakuza criminal organization.
Returning to the Yakuza video game series, in this saga 3 games have been released so far, and the last game of the series will be launched in March 2011. The games’ titles are: Yakuza, Yakuza 2, Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4. The first two games of the series have been developed for PlayStation 2 console, and the last two games of the series have been developed exclusively for Playstation 3 console. The main characters you will meet in the four games are Kazuma and his adoptive daughter, Haruka.
The tale starts when Kazumi finds himself caught in a Japanese underworld plot involving a mysterious girl named Haruka and the absence of a significant amount of money. In this first story, Kazuma will have to use all her knowledge and skills in the fight in order to overcome unpredictable situations.
Yakuza 2 continues the story of the two characters, introducing you deeper into the gray world, full of violence, of the Japanese underworld. We will meet the two characters in Tokyo and Osaka where they will try, over 16 levels of play, to prevent fighting between rival underworld gangs. The two will have to go through many different surprise situations and intrigue, which they should overcome.
In Yakuza 3, the protagonists are leading a quiet life. Although it seems that the obscure past of the two was forgotten, a series of events occurring around them reminds them about their negative past. In Yakuza 3, the players will be able to develop strong street fighting in the most dangerous cities in Japan, Okinawa and Tokyo, where only the strong ones have a chance to survive. It is the first console game in the series designed for Playstation 3, it is a step forward in improving the quality offered by the Sega Int. manufacturer.
Upon the immense success with the public, the Yakuza video game series producers were planning to launch Yakuza 4, in March this year, a game designed exclusively for PlayStation 3, a game that will resume the story of Yakuza 3. This last game of the series focuses specifically on the human character, highlighting a fierceful fight between four men of honour, social status, money and power. In this last game of the series, you will also find many stories involving treacheries, lies and incendiary revelations. The climax of this last game is given by the birth of a new legend – Kamurocho.
If you are keen on action video games and if you're over 17 years old, we recommend you to play the Yakuza series, that will introduce you to the Japanese culture and civilization.
